After leaving her teaching job, Kaitlin and her partner Kevin decided to create their inclusive clothing brand, Kind Cotton. The company focuses on redefining kindness and starting pivotal, powerful conversations around what it means to be KIND. They believe in kindness that is rooted in justice, grounded in action, and open to change. Kind Cotton also provides books to children with every sale. With every item sold, they donate a book to a child. To date, they have donated over 52,000 books to kids.
