Happy 74th Independance day to all our listeners!      Kalangarai Vilakkam (trans. Light house) is a special initiative by Nesakkarangal Charitable Trust's Kadal Osai FM 90.4. It has been started to commemorate the radio station's succesful entry into its fifth year on August 15, 2020. With this program, Kadal Osai hopes to provide a proper career guidance to enthusiastic youngsters from the fishing community.     Mr. Anandh, an assistant professor in a research centre that functions under Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University talks in details about the courses offered by the University. Firstly he addresses the issue of high drop out rates in the coastal regions as many students leave studies to financially support their families. Then he explains in detail the various courses offered by the Univesity and the outcomes of the courses. He also the mentions the kind of training done in some of the courses.
