Kalangarai Vilakkam | Interview with Forest Ranger Mr. Sathish about the recruitment done by the Indian Forest Service and the requirements to appear for the exams

Happy 74th Independance day to all our listeners!      Kalangarai Vilakkam (trans. Light house) is a special initiative by Nesakkarangal Charitable Trust's Kadal Osai FM 90.4. It has been started to commemorate the radio station's succesful entry into its fifth year on August 15, 2020. With this program, Kadal Osai hopes to provide a proper career guidance to enthusiastic youngsters from the fishing community.      The Indian Forest Service is one of the greatest departments to work in for any Indian who wishes to make a career revolving around the lush green forests of our country. Forest ranger Mr. Sathish discusses about the different positions available in the Indian Forest Service and the qualifications required to attemp to be appointed. The Indian Forest Service Officer is the most lucrative posting available when it comes to the department and one requires a science based degree to be eligible to write the recruitment exam for it. However, not all postings require a degree. There are postings available for people who have passed 10th grade, 12th grade and degree holders. Mr. Sathish goes on to explain the exam pattern and physical fitness requirement of each exam.
