Kane County student tests positive for measles

Students at a Kane County High School had an e-learning day Tuesday because of concerns over possible measles exposure. A spokesperson for Kaneland School District 302 tells WBBM, a student tested positive for measles prompting the e-learning day for students who attend Kaneland High School and Fox Valley Career Center. The Kane County Health Department is currently working with the Illinois Department of Public Health to identify and contact people who may have been exposed to the student. In the meantime, students and families are being encouraged to look out for measles symptoms which include a fever, cough, runny nose and rash.
