We’re happy here to bring @DJ_SAMWISE into the series — a long-standing, quietly evolving connection that has travelled across continents and now, at last, finds a tangible form in sound. For some he may still be a lesser-known figure, yet many will already be familiar with the warm presence working behind some influential projects such as @FASTATWORK or Life and Death. The music arrived along with a few accompanying words: “This mix reflects one of those pure ‘bursting at the seams’ moments — recorded on a whim at my home in Echo Park LA without any planning or thought before, it kinda felt important for some reason. It is very pure Samwise energy, moving from solid cheeky foundations into nostalgic textures. This is something I have realized I need to express, with 0 agenda or goal except creative expression itself. Fuck it, right? Super grateful to Alex and KANN (truly one of my favorite labels) for releasing this. Enjoy!”
