Kansas is ramping up their tour schedule with eight new dates next year, kicking off in York on September 29 and closing in Lansdowne on November 14, plus a March 2027 Cruise to the Edge stop in Miami. They’ve got 20 more dates left on their current tour with Deep Purple, wrapping September 12, and recently completed shows with Thirty-Eight Special. Personal milestones abound: drummer Phil Ehart released his memoir “I Am Phil,” guitarist Rich Williams is slowing down and being replaced by Scott Bernard, frontman Ronnie Platt battled cancer in 2025, and bassist Billy Greer (40+ years) is now Dan McGowan. Ehart also suffered a heart attack last year and is off the road, though both he and Williams remain official members. In a nostalgic twist, Ehart and Williams reunited with original members Kerry Livgren and Dave Hope for surprise encores of “Hold On” and “Carry On Wayward Son” in Bonner Springs — where it all began in the ‘70s.
