Kansas Basketball Eyes Transfer Star Leroy Blyden

Kansas basketball coach Bill Self is eyeing a significant addition from the transfer portal, with Toledos Leroy Blyden Junior set to visit Lawrence this Saturday. The six-foot-one point guard from Detroit had a standout freshman season for the Rockets, averaging 16.4 points, 4.5 assists, and 1.8 steals per game, earning MAC Freshman of the Year and All-MAC Third Team honors. Ranked as the number nine point guard and number forty-four overall player in the On3 transfer rankings, Blyden is seen as a perfect fit for Selfs system, bringing playmaking chops and versatility to the offense. His quick hands and on-ball pressure would also address Kansass perimeter needs on defense. With three years of eligibility left, this visit could secure a major boost for next seasons roster.
