Kansas City outraged after ringing the wrong doorbell

The tragic incident of a Black teen being shot after ringing the wrong doorbell has once again highlighted the deep-seated issues of racial profiling and discrimination in our society. The 16-year-old boy had simply been trying to visit a friend when he mistakenly rang the doorbell of the wrong house. Instead of being met with a friendly response, he was met with violence, as the homeowner, who has since been charged with murder, fired a gun at him. This horrific incident serves as a stark reminder of the fear and danger that many Black Americans face on a daily basis simply because of the color of their skin.
