Kansas Roster Questions Linger | Kansas Jayhawks Basketball News

Kansas basketball is assembling its 2026 core around top recruit Tyran Stokes, but questions linger about star power with only one Big 12 veteran on the roster. With recruiting stalled and ESPN ranking them 25th early, the Jayhawks face pressure after a key 2027 commit reclassified and decommitted — a red flag for roster gaps. Meanwhile, eligibility chaos looms: center Mihailo Mušikić waits on a waiver, guard Melvin Council Jr. plans to refile in New York claiming his JUCO time shouldn’t count, and forward Tre White lost his eligibility after being cleared for another year. Despite these hurdles, Kansas landed four transfers — ranked 32nd nationally — as fans brace for another season of high potential and lingering doubts.
