Kansas Seeks Rivalry Revenge Against Missouri | Missouri Tigers Football News

The Border Showdown returns Friday night as Missouri heads to Lawrence for the second meeting in two years, favored by a touchdown—but rivalry games never go as scripted. After last year’s win in Columbia, Kansas is hungry for payback on home soil, where Missouri hasn’t played since 2005. Missouri’s Cayden Green is ready to roll despite Ahmad Hardy’s absence, while Jamal Roberts looms as a threat with his 100-yard rushing performance last time out. Kansas, missing potential linebacker Bam Crouch, boasts deep defensive depth and a confident coaching staff led by Andy Kotelnicki, who’s got tricks up his sleeve. Both quarterbacks—Austin Simmons and Isaiah Marshall—showed promise in Week 1 against weaker opponents. With Kansas’ defense better prepared and Coach Lance Leipold aiming for his first victory in this heated rivalry, expect fireworks—and a likely Jayhawk triumph sending Missouri packing with a loss.
