Kansas State? BYU? Houston? Here's Your Big 12 TEAM OF THE WEEK!

The Big 12's heavy hitters put on a masterclass this past weekend, headlined by statement-making performances from BYU, Oklahoma State, and Kansas State that sent shockwaves across the national landscape. In Provo, BYU turned LaVell Edwards Stadium into an absolute house of horrors, erasing a first-half deficit to grind down Arizona 28-17. Powered by Bear Bachmeier's clinical execution and a suffocating defensive front that completely pitched a shutout in the second half, the Cougars proved once again that their brand of physical, trench-warfare football is a nightmare for any visiting challenger. Meanwhile, Stillwater provided the epicenter of college football chaos. Oklahoma State ripped up the script as massive underdogs, stunning No. 6 Oregon 39-31 in a thrilling, high-octane battle at Boone Pickens Stadium. Drew Mestemaker put the offense on his back with a legendary dual-threat performance, outgaining the Ducks and capping the night with a thunderous goal-line scramble that blew the lid off the stadium and triggered a historic field-storming celebration. Not to be outdone, Kansas State put together a clinical, flawless dismantling of Washington State, cruising to a 34-7 victory behind Avery Johnson’s aerial efficiency and a suffocating defense that left the Cougars completely disoriented. Together, these powerhouse outings served as a violent reminder that the Big 12 isn't just surviving—it's thriving, punishing opponents with elite depth, relentless conditioning, and a collective chip on its shoulder that the rest of the country is finding impossible to contain.
