Karen Peterson: Utah House Representative for District 13, Former Leg. Affairs Director, Deputy Education Policy Advisor

Representative Karen Peterson is currently serving in the State Legislature representing House District 13 which includes: Clearfield, Clinton, Sunset, and West Point.  She served 8 years on the Clinton City Council. She currently works as the Community Development Manager for Sunrise Engineering. During her lifetime, Karen has encouraged many people to run and get involved and decided to take her own advice to jump at great opportunities and embrace every moment.   She's a cancer survivor, wife, and mother. She's a fiscal conservative, a constitutional conservative, and passionate about education, transparency, and communication.  Karen successfully ran and passed four bills during the 2022 Legislative Session, and is hard at work preparing for January 2023.  Karen believes that the role of government is to provide essential services and that the State Legislature needs more members with local government experience.
