Both dropped out of school in their sophomore year, married young—Karl at 17, Debbie at 18—each marriage lasting exactly eight years before ending in divorce. Then, in April 1985, their worlds collided, and they’ve been writing their story together ever since. From working in the parts industry and managing repair shops to owning Quik Auto in Chelan, they’ve spent decades serving their community with top-tier customer service. But Karl’s impact doesn’t stop there—he’s been the voice of local basketball and volleyball games, a dedicated supporter of youth sports, and a helping hand in times of crisis, including the Carleton Complex Fire.
