Tonight we are reflecting on Karnov, an arcade port developed and published by Data East for the NES in North America in January of 1988. Data East was responsible for porting popular arcade games to the NES like Burgertime, Karate Champ and Rampage. Data East seemed to be hell-bent on making circus strongman Jinborov Karnovski, aka “Karnov”, a sort of company mascot by inserting him into other Data East games such as Bad Dudes, where he is the level one boss.
