Kate Boyer: Air NZ Ground and In-Flight Chief Operations Officer on the airline revealing a new rebooking system to international flights

from Best of Business · host Newstalk ZB

Air New Zealand is rolling out automatic re-booking technology to international flight cancellations after rolling it out for domestic flights mid-last year. The airline says previously, re-booking customers after a long-haul cancellation took up to six hours. Ground and In-Flight Chief Operations Officer, Kate Boyer, says itineraries will now be automatically rebooked - usually in under 20 minutes. "We're using an algorithm to search for seats and availability, and make sure we can give customers a sort of certainty on their plans."
