Kate Raison is an actor who is a familiar face for Australian theatre goers and television viewers. From a single guest role as an un-named nurse in an episodes of Sons and Daughters, she was a regular on dramas such as A Country Practice, Home and Away, and E-Street. Her theatre work has seen her perform in plays as disparate as Dark Voyager, Mary Stuart and The Torch Song Trilogy, and more recently she was fêted for her roles in Two and Killing Katie: Confessions of a Book Club. She’s currently rehearsing for The Great Divide, the latest work from living legend David Williamson for the Ensemble Theatre, which plays from 8 March to 27 April.Kate talks about the joys of working on a new Williamson play, reminisces about those early TV roles that made her so familiar to audiences, and the joys and challenges of working in live theatre.
