from Ash Said It® Show · host Ash Brown

Katherine Linn Caire is the author of ACCIDENTAL SISTERS: The Story of My 52-Year Wait to Meet My Biological Sibling. In the book she shares her adoption story that leads to many Serendipitous events. She is in Atlanta this weekend for a book event hosted by Read It Again Bookstore in Suwanee on March 11th from noon-2pm. Suwanee Book Store: https://www.read-it-again.com/... Web: https://www.klcairebooks.com/ Her memoir, Accidental Sisters, is a heartwarming story of adoption, unconditional love, and the serendipitous turn of events that led her to a remarkable discovery. What did she discover? Why is her story different from others? What will readers learn? Unlike other books about adoption, Caire brings an unusual and unique twist to the unexpected series of events that led to her discovery––and it did not involve DNA testing. What started her on her journey? She adored her adoptive family and never considered searching for her birth parents. However, at age fifty-two, and the mother of three grown children a sudden pull to learn more about her medical history sends her on an unexpected journey. She isn’t interested in learning her birth parents’ identities, just the details of their health. But what begins as a simple investigation takes a startling swerve when the social worker who sends the records fails to redact a crucial bit of information. Suddenly, Caire has more information than she bargained for. And to her surprise, she finds herself combing through vital records, researching every lead she can get her hands on. Caire swam competitively for the SMU Lady Mustangs swim team, and after receiving her BBA in Business (Finance), with Minors in Art History and Economics went on to a successful career in banking in Dallas, Texas. 30 years later, and the mother of now three grown daughters, she resides with her husband in Franklin, TN. About The Author: Katherine Linn Caire was born and raised in Des Moines, Iowa. She attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, where she swam for the Mustangs and received her BBA (Finance), with Minors in Art History and Economics. Although her career has spanned the gamut from commercial banking lender to advertising account executive, from calligrapher/artist to tennis official, she has found her true delight in putting pen to paper. Although she has illustrated a children’s book, (Rocklin Goes to Work, M.D. Brown, 2016) Accidental Sisters is her debut work as an author. Kathe is currently working on her first novel. She lived in Dallas for nearly three decades, where all three of her and her husband’s daughters were born and raised. The family moved to the beautiful city of Nashville, Tennessee in 2004 where she lives with her husband, Don, and their precious pup rescues, Waltzing Matilda and Marathon Molly.
