Kathy Garcia-Soto with Darek Sharp after Winning First Gold Glove Award in USF Softball Program History

An incredible honor for an incredible player. On Wednesday the National Fast Pitch Coaches Assocation announced the 9-player collection of the best defensive players in the country, each earning the ultimate award, a Rawlings Gold Glove. Kathy Garcia-Soto, whose four-year career at USF was filled with head-turning plays, nabbed the first such honor in Bulls history for her senior season of work at second base. Darek caught up with Kathy for her reaction, the great story of how Head Coach Ken Eriksen broke the news to her, and to reflect on USF's season with featured a second straight conference tournament championship as well as a trip tot he Regional final in Arkansas.
