She completed her dietetic internship at Oakwood University in Huntsville, AL in 2011.Katie started working in Long Term Care in 2011 because she got offered a job right away as a clinical dietitian doing assessments, with no intention of staying, but really fell in love with the niche. She has worked with over 10,000 patients in 10 years with all different conditions.In 2013 Katie became the Director of Foodservices for the Skilled Nursing Facility she was working at and became a Specialist in Geriatric Nutrition in 2016.In 2000 Katie became a certified colonhydrotherapist, further solidifying a more holistic approach to her nutrition philosophies.
