from Get Real with Caroline Hobby · host Nashville Podcast Network

Katie Cook grew up in England in a very musical family. She got a record deal in Nashville with her punk rock/country band Reno, and started splitting time between America and the UK. When her band broke up, she was sweeping hair at a salon in Nashville and heard that CMT was looking for a new host. On a whim, she auditioned and got the job with no previous hosting experience. Over 20 years later, she is still the Host and Face of CMT. Katie also shares about the passing of her sister JoJo, who lived her life with disabilities and the brightest spirit. Katie and her husband have a band called SunKat and they have an amazing tribute song to her called “Hey JoJo.” Learn more about your ad-choices at https://www.iheartpodcastnetwork.com See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
