Thiroux received a Presidential Scholarship to Berklee in 2006, gaining the attention of alumni Terri Lyne Carrington and Branford Marsalis, and went on to perform festivals around the world as a sideman and leader. She established a quartet in her native Los Angeles featuring Graham Dechter, Matt Witek, and Roger Neumann, and just finished her debut album under the guidance of her mentor, John Clayton, and Grammy Award–winning co-producer Jeff Hamilton.
