Katrina Garcia is the CEO/Founder of KG Website Designs and has been a business owner for over 12 years. The first 5 years she worked to build her business working to gain momentum in her field. However, shortly after her fifth year she took in her mother to care for her when she was diagnosed with vascular dementia. During this time she worked her business and cared for her mother 24/7. As her mother’s dementia increased, she found it challenging to build her business, and began to lose herself bit by bit. When her mother passed on October 19th, 2015, she found that while she watched her mother go down the rabbit hole of dementia, she had lost her voice and herself. It literally took her 3 years to rebuild her confidence and pull herself back up to a mental state of strength. Now she wants to tell her story in hopes it will help others gain their strength with the aftermath of dementia.
