Kau'ionālani Mead on the missing bridge in Hawaiʻi education & Hoʻōla Music and Cultural Arts

In 2004, I discovered the most beautiful singing voice I ever heard — it was Kauʻi. Instead of becoming the next Whitney Houston, Kauʻi dedicated her life to teaching and even created a nonprofit that connects students to Hawaiian values and life skills through music.
