It is strength under the control of love. My father returned from the war to find his own dreams gone, but then he began to save for mine. He wanted me to have what he had lost, and he never stopped giving, even when I didn’t appreciate it or understand it. That’s the heart of Christ, who poured Himself out so that you and I might live. When others fail to appreciate your love, keep giving anyway. Love that expects nothing in return, in its action, reflects the very heart of God. Ask God for the strength you need today. It’s time to pray
