Well, hello, how are you? Welcome to the Daily Grateful. I am Michael Kroos. And I am so darn grateful.
That's just the way I feel today. I've got a lot of crap on my mind. If you listened to yesterday, you know, you know, they say. But I've got to tell you, I'm so grateful for what happened today.
And just one thing, like a whole bunch of stuff that happened today. And if you sit back and you think your life sucks, the sun's in your eyes and life kind of sucks, but you got this. Yeah, sometimes it does. But I've got to tell you what, today was one of those days where everything went good.
And people were so nice to me today. I had to go to the hospital today. People were very nice to me at the hospital. Very, very, very.
From the guy who parked my truck to the security guy who didn't like my belt buckle. And I don't even have a big belt buckle, but he was cool about it. To everybody I dealt with there. And then I left there.
And I had other places to go. I had phone calls to return. And I had to return. I've been out of, I've been, for the last week, I've been away dealing with this situation that's going on.
And I had to deal with some people with business. I thought they'd be angry, but no, everybody was nice. Everybody was cool. And then I went to a store and people were so nice when I went to the store.
And then I came home and I saw one of my neighbors on the street around the corner from me. That's this beautiful dog. And I always waved to him and they waved back. And I stopped and I said, I can't tell you how much I love that dog.
And I said, we love this dog too. And we love the fact that you love this dog. Aren't we all crazy? And they both said, yes, especially you.
I said, I know, that's who I am. And it was a good life. We had a very, very good time. I came home.
I don't know if I shared this with you, but my son, my younger son has moved back in with me with his girlfriend. And I'm so grateful for that because I've been living in this house by myself. And you know, it's lonely. His girlfriend is this cook from heaven.
I mean, she, she made these delicious meatballs tonight and this garlic bread. Oh gosh, that was so good. And then, you know, she made roast beef and mashed potatoes and carrots and all of that stuff that was just so delicious. And she goes, I'm sorry, I didn't have rosemary.
I said, I don't know who rosemary is, but I didn't want her in my stuff anyway. I just assumed it by myself. And she did a big laugh. Anyway, in the midst of tragedy, in the midst of depression, in the midst of every freaking thing that can go wrong going wrong, there's always joy.
I think I've said this before. There's always joy. There's always something to be grateful for. And when you are grateful, your body chemistry changes.
Mine does. I don't know about yours. I think it does. And you find yourself smiling.
And when you smile, this I know scientifically, I know this. It's in science. I looked it up on my iPhone. I could look it up again, but I'm not going to.
But I got to tell you, when you smile, it creates endorphins. And endorphins make you happy and make you giddy. So smile a lot. Be grateful a lot.
And what if my computer just make a noise? I don't like that. Anyhow, I don't edit. Stay in it.
That's my message to you today. When you wake up tomorrow, tomorrow I've got a busy day. You know, I've got to go to my daughter's house early in the morning for a while. I've got to go back to the hospital.
I've got to go to St. Petersburg. And then I have to go to Safety Harbor. I'm not going to get home until tomorrow night after 6 o'clock.
But you know what I'm going to do? I'm going to be happy everywhere I go. I'm going to be grateful everywhere I go. I'm going to hug grandkids today or tomorrow.
Big, big hugs, which always makes me grateful and happy. And it's going to be good. I'm going to go to the hospital and I'm going to deal with what we have to deal with there. And hopefully, and this doesn't sound right, but I say this in all the love in the world, hopefully we're not going to be dealing with it for much longer.
I know that sounds weird, but my brother suffered enough, damn it. And he's at peace right now. When I was with him today, he was at absolute peace. I was rubbing him on the shoulder and telling him how much love.
But I will go to the hospital and I'll deal with that and I will find all kinds of things to be grateful with. And then I will go off to St. Pete, where I will deal with people and I'll be grateful. And then I will go to Safety Harbor.
Or I will deal with a very nice lady and I will be grateful. And then I will come home. And I will be exhausted. But I will be grateful that in my age, I can do all this stuff in a day.
So, that's the important thing. Stay positive. Stay grateful. Keep on smiling.
There was a band from the South. They were called Wet Willie. If you know, you know. They were a southern rock band.
You know, like Leonard Skinner type thing. And they had a song called Keep On Smiling. I used to love that song. I have to go ask Alexa if she'll play it for me in a few minutes because damn, I forgot all about that song until just now.
And that's going to make me happy now. Have a terrific day, everybody. We will talk tomorrow. Keep on smiling.
Keep on smiling.
