Keep your friend close but your enemies closer. Sounds familiar? The Godfather wasn't the only one who said it. Our Lord Jesus put this principle into practice. Here is an interesting comparison--The Godfather got his enemies closer and, once exposed, took them out by way of death and execution. Jesus exposed the evil motives of Judas and gave him plenty of time and opportunities to repent. Judas hardened his heart, and his own bitterness was his executioner.
