Keeping Christ In Christmas

The Christ Is / Isaiah 9:6 We celebrate Christmas because it is the coming of the Christ The Christ is Son of God (only begotton) - The only one like God John 3:16-18 - Special one sent The Christ is Son of Man (humanity) Luke 19:10    Daniel 7:13-14 - vision of Danel - I am the Messiah Jesus claiming to be  the son of man. The Christ is Savior (purely Christian concept) - no basis in Jewish roots  -  Luke 2:11 - Who is Christ the Lord The Christ is King of Kings - Revelation 17:14 - Jesus King & Lord The Christ is Great High Priest - Hebrews 4:14 - Son of God - Titles build and relate to one another. The Christ is Lamb of God - John 1:29 - Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. Christ fills multiple roles, priest, king and a sacrifice (perfect & unblemished) Sacrificial sacrifices would stop after Jesus came. - The perfect sacrifice. The Christ is Judge (Privilage who is Appointed by God and to be judge of living & the dead) Acts 10:42-43 - Jesus is My Judge.   Luke 12:5 - Fear the one who can cast you in hell. The Christ is Mediator (brings 2 parties who are at odds at one another into peace) 1 Timothy 2:5 - 1 God 1 Mediator bewteen God and Man - the man Christ Jesus.  Romans 5:1 Peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.  Isaiah 9:6 - Prince of Peace The Christ is Resurrection (We serve a risen Lord)  Precious to us and gives us a great hope.  John 11:25 - I am the resurrection and the life, He who believes in me will live even though he dies. We serve a risen Lord! We believe in the risen Christ - The Christ who walked out of the grave. The Christ is Head of Church - Ephesians 1:22 - And he put all things in subjection under his feet & gave him as head over all things to the church. Which is His body and the fullness of him who fills all things in every way. We follow the Christ, we worship the Christ, we advance the Christ goals, we honor Christ as God. All we do and say should advance Him.  We are a Christian church.  Foundation of all that we are.  We are called out of the world to serve the Christ. Jesus is the Christ!!!
