Currently residing in Melbourne and hailing from the US, Ryuu is a break dancer, musician and entertainer who is a regular at Vibe Union spoken word event “Talking Blue”. With a love for all things Hip Hop, Ryuu respects the game by engaging with the elements; emceeing, deejaying, breakin', graff and beatboxing. From picking the perfect sample, to losing themselves in a dance groove, Ryuu’s approach to music and creativity is very hands-on. Not to say there is no soul at play behind the craft. The mindset and mentality behind Ryuu’s work is very aligned with what is happening around them, seeing the significance of the human experience and its value in the universe. Ryuu intends to help those who have been through the hardships of homelessness and discrimination through both his performance, creations and future investments. They have served as traditional custodians of this land for over 60,000 years, living in harmony with our environment. Sovereignty was never ceded and we extend our respects to Indigenous elders past and present, and we strive for a better future in which our First Nations People are respected and at the forefront of society’s relationship with the land.
