A recent book, Andy Stanley tells us that Christianity shaped Western civilization. He also says that politics can’t save us, to which we agree. But what do we do when influential figures are actually encouraging evangelicals to not keep the commandments of God? What do we say when pastors are encouraged to not align themselves with a political leader or party, and Christians are told to stop engaging in the cultural battle? How do we respond to a message that tells us to love God and neighbor but also rejects God’s standard for loving God and neighbor?
