Keir Starmer Survives Labour Rebellion as 42 MPs Defy Over Welfare Bill Despite Concession

Sir Keir Starmer has temporarily fought off Labour rebels as his benefits bill has passed through its second reading after last-minute concessions. MPs have passed the second reading of Labour's welfare reform bill. Some 335 voted for, with 260 voting against, a majority of 75.
