Keith, a 19 year-old Black man, was found hanging from a tree in Silver Spring, Maryland in 1986. The police ruled his death a suicide, and closed the case. But many facets of this case point to foul play. Circumstances of the hanging indicate that Keith could not have done it to himself. A 2nd autopsy found toxicology that was inconsistent with death by suicide. Keith was found wearing clothes and shoes that were not his.
