Kelly Sage from Curiosity Encouraged Speaks Juggling Working and Homeschooling with a Growth Mindset

from Chaos and Coffee: Homeschool for Working Moms

I had a wonderful chat with Kelly Sage from Curiosity Encouraged, which I'm sharing in today's episode of the Strike a Balance Podcast for Working Homeschool Moms. We speak about how important having a growth mindset is when being a working homeschool mom. She also speaks about building connections with your children as a way to homeschool successfully. She has such great advice to share, so definitely have a listen!  Kelly believes when it comes to teaching and parenting, connection, interest, and trust are our greatest allies. Once a brick and mortar middle and high school English teacher, Kelly left traditional teaching to homeschool her children and reclaim how she and her family spent their time.  They practice interest-led learning, so their days rarely look the same, but for her sanity, Kelly tries to keep a simple rhythm, which usually involves a lot of books and time outside. Kelly teaches reading and writing workshops online, tutors children all around the world, facilitates local workshops, and writes about nurturing the love of learning on her website, Curiosity Encouraged.  She loves to journal, read memoirs, travel, drink coffee, and spend time in a little hidden hollow her family calls home.
