Kelsey’s Defense Upgrade

Pat Kelsey is reinventing Louisville basketball, ditching last year’s shaky Quad 1A record for a smarter, tougher approach. After years of fast breaks and threes, he’s now prioritizing defense and post play, bringing in elite transfers like Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year Flory Bidunga and five-star recruit Obinna Ekezie Jr. He’s also hired two defensive specialists — John Andrzejek and Sean Dixon — to overhaul the team’s perimeter and interior game. But Kelsey’s not abandoning his identity: he’s still building around speedy point guard Jackson Shelstad and keeping the three-point barrage alive with new shooters. This hybrid strategy could finally push Louisville into the NCAA Tournament’s deep rounds. Support the show: Get a discount at https://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
