Kennedy Park Pool Finally Opens

Kennedy Park’s much-anticipated 50-meter pool is finally opening Thursday after a last-minute liner fix delayed its debut—now fully staffed and packed with summer fun, including camp, open swim, and senior/teen sessions. While this pool slipped a week, Chicago’s overall pool season kicked off early. Refilling and safety testing took days, and the Park District warns some pools may have intermittent closures—always check your local pool’s site before you dive.
