Five days before the attempted assassination of President Trump, I sat down with Kenneth Valentine, three-time presidential secret service agent and author of "Cheating Death". Ken and I quite forbiddingly discussed when 'Murphy comes and visits the operation". We discussed the importance of standards and the importance of having a mindset of  "direction over perfection". Ken and I discussed faith, and the journey of having a relationship with God. We discussed "wound care" and leadership and how we navigate this thing called life.
