Kentucky Comeback Brings Second Chances and Strengthens Workforce

Talk Justice  spotlights Kentucky’s efforts to boost the state’s workforce and help people thrive in the aftermath of the opioid epidemic through the Kentucky Comeback initiative. Workforce participation rates in Kentucky have been among the lowest in the nation. In response, the Kentucky Chamber and it's foundation launched the Kentucky Comeback initiative and the Fair Chance Academy to encourage businesses to remove barriers for job seekers in recovery.  Richmond Baking, based in Versailles, Kentucky, was one of the first businesses to participate and has seen amazing results.
