Keontay Toomer Commits to Louisville

Keontay Toomer, a six-foot-one, 175-pound safety from Indianapolis, has committed to Louisville after weighing offers from Cincinnati and Wisconsin. Known for his aggressive, downhill run-stopping ability and hard-hitting style, Toomer excels at closing on ball carriers. While his pass coverage needs refinement—particularly with lateral movement—he compensates with recovery speed and long arms. Projected as a strong safety or STAR, he’ll need to bulk up and sharpen his coverage skills, but officials see him as a key contributor to Louisville’s defense by his sophomore year, adding depth to their secondary.
