Ketika Pena Terdiam

from Sunday Morning Thoughts Hosted by Sunday Morning Thoughts

English version: [When the Pen Went Quiet] --- I stopped writing love poems the moment he came in, all flash and thunder, no rain worth catching. He said all the right things, too fast, too loud, too much for a heart still folding paper cranes from memories not yet named. He promised futures in hurried strokes and called it love. I believed him. Let him name my longing. Let him sit where poems used to rest. And slowly, my pen went quiet. No verses. No love letters to the moon. Just hollow drafts and darker poems about aching in rooms I never wanted to be in. God knows I write when I love. Maybe that’s the saddest part: my silence was the loudest truth of all.
