We have 60,000 thoughts per day. Your thoughts affect your emotions and your emotions impact the way you feel. So on a basic level, if you want to feel good, then you must begin with the way you think. If your dominating thoughts are rooted in fear, then your emotions and the way your body expresses these emotions will be anxiousness, tension, and stress! But if you think in terms of hope, love, belief and faith, you will have emotions and the way your body expresses them will be feelings of peace, power, and relaxation, in other words you will feel good. The question is what are those thoughts consisting of: positive or negative? Feeding your body healthy meals- Eating healthy foods will give your body what it needs in order to keep functioning properly. These foods, and nutrients will decrease chronic inflammation in the body, which is a root cause of many diseases, boost your immune system which will protect you from viruses and infections, burn body fat, increase brain activity and learning, and increase energy levels in order to increase overall health. You must move something and keep it moving - Exercise and physical activity is very important in increasing health, especially during these times. Cardiovascular exercise increases brain function by turning on a gene called Brain Derived Neurotrophic Factor(BDNF), which plays a key role in creating new neurons which enhances learning and also protects existing neurons, and is key in protecting the brain from Alzheimer's disease. Exercise also boosts the immune system and strengthens the body as well. It is also a great stress reliever! Meditation is key in keeping your mind, body, and spirit whole. This is very important because you are able to reduce your stress levels, increase your blood flow, conquer your emotions, increase your resilience, and have everlasting joy. You can center yourself in the midst of a turbulent world through meditation, bringing your entire being under subjection.
