Kevin Hart Defends Roast Controversy; Nate Bargatze’s The Breadwinner Reviewed and Nate Land Theme Park Plans

Johnny Mac covers backlash to Kevin Hart’s Breakfast Club comments defending roast boundary-pushing after Tony Hinchcliffe’s George Floyd joke, plus Hinchcliffe’s Kill Tony remarks about being labeled a Nazi and his response to Chelsea Handler; Nikki Glaser says roasts raise the stakes, supports ironically racist jokes only if they work, and keeps specifics private, while Matt Rife says critics should not watch roasts. The episode also discusses Nate Bargatze’s new film The Breadwinner, citing Variety’s negative review of its “incompetent dad” beats and muddled message, alongside quotes from Mandy Moore and Bargatze about making a family comedy, plus box office projections. The Wall Street Journal details plans for Bargatze’s “Nate Land” theme park near Nashville, including investors, incentives, and a 1990s mall entry concept. The “Comedy Stock Market” sells Bargatze, Chelsea Handler, and Glaser, and buys Hinchcliffe; additional notes include JFL Montreal dates, W. Kamau Bell’s new podcast Who’s With Me?, and Sam Bee’s CBC series The Ambassador.00:00 Roast Backlash Setup00:25 Kevin Hart Defends Roast01:26 Social Media Reacts02:20 Tony Hinchcliffe on Chelsea Handler04:05 Nikki Glaser Weighs In05:43 Matt Rife Says Chill06:15 Breadwinner Review07:26 Nate Land Theme Park09:29 Cast Quotes and Hype11:33 Box Office Forecast11:41 Comedy Stock Market13:35 JFL Montreal Updates14:27 New Pods and TV News Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/daily-comedy-news-with-johnny-mac--4522158/support.Today's DCN is brought to you by MyBookie use promo code DCN!Daily Comedy News is hosted by Johnny Mac and releases every weekday.
