Kevin Heywood Breakout Star for Wisconsin

Kevin Heywood, the towering 6-foot-9, 320-pound offensive tackle, is CBS Sports’ breakout player pick for Wisconsin in 2026—despite missing last season with an ACL injury. The former top-50 recruit is expected to anchor a revamped, run-heavy offense and could be a dominant force on the line. As the only Badger on this particular breakout list, Heywood’s return signals big things ahead, especially with quarterback Colton Joseph also named an ESPN top-100 newcomer. With an easier schedule and new offensive talent, Wisconsin’s potential is electrifying—and fans are watching closely to see how this roster clicks under pressure.
