Kevin Kiley Challenges Richard Pan, Meta Lobbies For Protection & Bredefeld Faces Lawsuit

from Philip Teresi · host KMJ

U.S. Rep. Kevin Kiley, running as an independent, announced during a news conference that he is challenging Democratic congressional candidate Richard Pan to a series of debates.  Meta has lobbied Congress to include a provision in the Kids Online Safety Act (KOSA) that would limit companies' exposure to child safety and privacy lawsuits. The proposal comes as lawmakers and courts increasingly scrutinize how social media platforms are designed and used by minors.  Jennifer Ortega, a former assistant to Fresno County Supervisor Garry Bredefeld has filed a civil lawsuit alleging wrongful termination after she filed a complaint over workplace violence. The suit alleges that her supervisor Daniel Gai, Bredefeld’s chief of staff, cursed at her using swear words and thrust his fingers inches from her face, threatening her by saying, “Don’t play games with me.”  Please Like, Comment and Follow 'Philip Teresi on KMJ' on all platforms: ---     Philip Teresi on KMJ is available on the KMJNOW app, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube or wherever else you listen to podcasts.  -- Philip Teresi on KMJ Weekdays 2-6 PM Pacific on News/Talk 580 AM & 105.9 FM KMJ  | Website  | Facebook | Instagram | X | Podcast | Amazon | - Everything KMJ KMJNOW App | Podcasts | Facebook | X | Instagram  See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
