Kevin Klein Back in Mayoral Race | Calgary News

Kevin Klein, former Manitoba cabinet minister and city councillor, is jumping back into the Winnipeg mayoral race after initially stepping aside—motivated by public frustration over stalled progress. He’s pledging to tackle transit, crime, and affordability if elected. With 11 candidates already in, including incumbent Scott Gillingham—who called Klein “toxic” and dredged up his past ties to Peter Nygard—this race is heating up. Klein dismissed the mayor’s remarks as “childish” and “dirty politics,” noting he severed ties with Nygard early on. The election is set for October 28, with the candidate deadline just days away.
