What will the Lakers decide to do with these how it first run picks and Russell Westbrook six minute year candidate Russell Westbrook? How are they really gonna wait? It's not and I wanted to bring Kevin Pell nine because you are one of the pre-armament fake trade artists of the NBA media So you'll work for NBA team.
You actually know how the salary cap rules work which I think is valuable and you like even will catch a mistake And I make everyone's while I want to go over with you some under the radar trade deadline wild guard You don't know the first time I'm gonna be thrown out and this and that and all the end of the Bulls And will they blow it up? I want to hit out some other things the first time a question spring on already I'm ready. You didn't know pre-appear this. I feel like you know my philosophy I also know it's going to be much more. I don't think I don't think they're trained Chris Paul I've heard I've heard nothing about trading Chris Paul. I've heard the opposite But they are in position to sort of reorient their team with those kinds of middle ground trades And I'm interested to hear your thoughts on that and if you thought of any such middle ground trades Well, it's kind of a few weeks ago because one of the exercises I always do this time of year is the Dump-dawn NBA basketball podcast mock trade deadline and I got signed sons and didn't think it for a long period of time What if they tried trade Chris Paul for a friend for a band fleet and that's that's what it's great where potentially You better now. You know how you feel about this balls performance. He's better lately So you know is compared to life for something at the straight is no longer so no greater for that He's been better lately, but even last night against the Hawks here comes the one for six for two point performance And those have been less frequent in the last 10 days 10 games since he came back the 22 points in 10 systems have been more frequent But like until this year Chris Paul never had the one of six game for two points like that was just never a thing So it's weird that it's still happening Yeah, and then obviously gets you a younger point guard that's more on the timeline of your players Like one thing I think that's changed to that makes me think the sun should be very aggressive at this deadline is There was you know this period of time where the sun's not as explicitly as the Warriors We're trying to pursue in that two time line schedule where we're winning right now in Chris Paul's timeline But we're also we also think we can send down the road with a score led by Devin Booker Deoner eight Miguel Bridges maybe James Johnson and Eaton's you know Stagation I guess in terms of play and who knows how much of that is You know, it's being happy in Phoenix not having the same kind of set up play from Chris Paul and within book girls Being out of line for such a long period of time.
You know who knows what those factors are But I don't think you can look at it in saying more that this core going forward is still a contender even as Chris Paul It's out and that's why I think you would have to be aggressive lead up to the deadline So give me some give me some fake trade I have some too that the issue is as with all these trades And I can't wait to talk about Portland because they're my other one other while card Pacific was neighbors out there If you're trading aton as cute as it is that they seem to win every time they start this might be on the center and that Chris Paul and Devin Booker could maybe make me into a running center somehow They're that good you need to get a center back for Yondra who's actually good and you can look at and say We don't have to hold our nose starting this guy 50 times a season They can hear real center on your team that can play both into the court That's one of the challenges and I'm sure to see how and if your fake trades answer that challenge I mean that's specifically because the one that I had involved in that is on yes I think probably a good fair fake trade. I think both Fan basis probably unhappy about it is that is eaten to Toronto with two first round packs in a swap four pastels Yeah, I got for sure the enemy no because I'm not gonna you can go more play five out lineups You know use a front-court to the awesome cam johnson bridges switch everything that to me is really intriguing instructions You still probably need a center and probably have to try to get one by trading J crowd or that deal but necessarily be something to finish games You can throw Ken birch in there or something if you put that complicated salary Phoenix of course is about 15 million over the tax right so they're gonna be cognizant of that I think I see that my favorite is I put Toronto into the tax by having them take back charge in addition to the But you know surely that's something to resolve with the third day. Yeah Yeah, we've all these trades like I looked at Portland in 67,000 dollars under the tax there a Tesla under the tax and like a lot of my Fakes put them literally I have one that puts them two hundred and twenty five thousand dollars over the tax You can get their ways to resolve things. This is a good time to have the Toronto discussion anyway Toronto has been putting out this line you see all over media Well this road trip this seven game road trip is gonna tell the story of the season and tell us what to do with the trade Well the seven game road trip is five games in there two and three on the seven game road trip There games left are at Houston and at Memphis and despite the emphasis last six out of seven We should probably talk about them some point. Let's just see when they go one and let's finish the road trip three and four The Raptors right now are 23 and 30 23 and 30 There are three games behind the bulls were in 11 for not even 10 the Raptors are two games in the last home Ahead of the Orlando magic. Let me repeat that these should we keep this team together and make a run Raptors are two games ahead of the Orlando Magic the Raptors are toast this team is not going to work.
There is no 25 finishing kick coming. It's just a broken team that I was totally wrong By the way, I can't crow that I thought they're gonna go to play the over totally wrong something is wrong with their team We can talk about what we think that is but I've been saying this for a month the idea Has long been over that this team has a run in it this team does not have a run in it I don't think now you can proceed with a belief that with one little move here in there You can position it seem to be a 48 wind team next year That's fine. I think it's not working Well last year, you know, I felt like they were able to cause an turnover to make that gambling defense work And that's when you see over time The NBA and he's back to Jason kids for season in Milwaukee We're playing the most aggressive defense in the entire NBA work for a year then whether it's literally figuring it out or shooting regression Some combination of those like the defenses were never that same level and like a shocking how good to run as offense is all things considered Given that they don't have the you know traditional like super star engine of the offense, you know See occupancy very good off it's a clear so it's right in play But it's kind of like a mini on offense and they're good, but defense just hasn't been the same I don't feel like they're fundamentally broken, but I would say I think this particular season It's just not gonna work. Yeah, they're all around like there's something point differential I think that they would probably in the East. I should say not around late I think that you know going forward. They probably you got a 500 team But as you said, they're well, they have to pass a lot of teams They know just to make a play and and then you're just being in the play and is not actually all that valuable I think to a team like you're on there's sometimes where being in the play and it's a huge deal I don't think the side jury is valued that as much um No, and I look at the Raptors and I've spent time up there and I watched him a lot I look at them as just something is sometimes you know when you see it something is just wrong with their team something is just not translating the parts add up to less than their son and I don't exactly know why that is You know, there's certainly I don't I think there could be some sort of chemistry issues I haven't hinted at and talked about in the media, but I also wonder what you think of Scotty Barnes OGN OB and Pascal Siyakum they're all bring different things at the table But when they have the ball they're all kind of similar in that they just kind of like to bro in like it They take a while sometimes like you know all the top half spin has been let me use my physicality I have six seconds of non-dying like if it double comes out Get out if it double doesn't come I'll try and do when I spin each out if I pass power power layoff or something or floater Push out of my smart and I just watch them.

I only feel like 5545 on this My gut is if you force me to bet yes or no on this question I'm I'm queasy, but I'm betting yes.
I think they're gonna trade on you know I just it's just it's no I have no hard reporting that that's more likely than not I have no hard reporting on precisely what teams actually I see have all offered and what Toronto wants this This you know reported three first round picks maybe that's what they asked one team for maybe something They've never asked us for that. I know what the real story is It just feels like to me because of that redundancy that I talked about before because of the team just not working because of these Content rumors that he's not thrilled with his role there And because they could get something good for him now now they get something good for him in the offseason But he effectively becomes an inspiring deal after the season That's actually that actually is one of the reasons why he might be a little harder to trade than people think because whoever is getting him Has to be really really confident that they're gonna be able to resign him and part of being really confident that you're gonna be able to resign him is Well, if he is in any way unhappy with his role as what do you think is a option 3.5 in the Raptor starting lineup? Sometimes option four or 4.5 when you're trying to go on off if he's not happy with that We gotta be able to get in something better than that or we're gonna face the same flight risk that the Raptors may face in six months if they keep them That all that said I just think something might got things he's gonna move.
