Kevin Woodley on the Wolf and Cooley Split!
from Flames Talk Hosted by Sportsnet
On hour two of Flames Talk, goaltending expert Kevin Woodley of InGoal Magazine joins Pat Steinberg and Logan Gordonto analyze the crease in Calgary and across the league. Kevin breaks down Devin Cooley’s bounce-back performances on this homestand, Dustin Wolf’s ideal workload for next season, and why Oilers fans should be feeling unsettled about their goaltending situation heading into the playoffs. (25:06) To wrap up the show, the spotlight turns to Ryan Strome as he faces his former team, the Anaheim Ducks, for the first time since the trade deadline. The guys discuss Strome’s seamless transition to Calgary—racking up seven points in ten games—and his emerging leadership role. They also look at the Ducks as a successful blueprint for the Flames' rebuild, highlighting how they’ve built a competitive roster through high draft picks and savvy veteran additions without ever picking first overall.
