Keyboard Kimura Podcast: Help Me Understand Modern Coverage
from Keyboard Kimura Audio Network Hosted by E. Spencer Kyte
In the aftermath of UFC 288, it feels like more time has been committed to Power Slap metrics and Sean O’Malley’s jacket than the efforts turned in by athletes beyond the biggest fights. Generally speaking, this feels like the norm these days. As someone that often hears lamentations about the UFC not doing enough to promote athletes and showcase a wider array of fighters — despite being the only large-scale website that chronicles every fight, profiles nearly every athlete on every card — I want to understand how all these peripheral stories that will fade into the ether are the stories that everyone wants to consume and so many websites are quick to produce.
