Keys To Overcoming The Voice Of Intimidation

from Victory Church Jbay · host Katia Adams

1 Samuel 17:4-19In the story of David and Goliath we read about how the enemy loves to intimidate and dictate the terms of battle. However, his bark is much louder than his bite. Every moment of every day is pregnant with the purposes of God and with breakthrough. We see this is David’s life as God used what seemed like an ordinary day, and used David to defeat the giant Goliath. Later, David used the sword that the enemy intended to use for his destruction for his victory. Like David, we won't know our day of destiny, but we have to be ready for it, even in the mundane. We also have to be willing to count the cost of inconvenience to see a lasting change.Testing has a purpose. Testing gives us the strength to go into battle without allowing the moment's heaviness to attach itself to us. Every battle we have faced up until now has a purpose. The bear and the lion we have faced will be a setup for the giant to come. Every battle we overcome then becomes a tool that we now have authority over and becomes a part of our weaponry. The receiving of our victory is there to proclaim to all the earth that God is real. It is also there to teach us that God doesn't need any weapon except His presence to bring breakthroughs in our lives.
