Khalid Karim's Song of Triumph: Lessons on Redemption

from Bad Thought Therapy™ · host C. Chérie Hardy

What should we do when we make a mistake? How do we correct our wrongs? Since the past cannot be changed, undone or reversed, we must learn how to focus on repairing, restoring, and redeeming ourselves in the present. We must take intentional action to heal hurtful things we've said or done.  Khalid Karim went to prison for 25 years, however during his incarceration, he made the decision to become a better human being. First, he faced the "man in the mirror" and took ownership and full responsibility for his own life. He refused to use the challenges he endured growing up as excuses for bad behavior. He engaged himself in educational and rehabilitative programs. He read hundreds of books in an effort to learn and grow. Today, he is a community service activist who works to enrich, empower, and protect young people. His incredible story of redemption is one of hope and inspiration.
