Khalil Barnes Joins Georgia | Georgia Bulldogs Football News

Khalil Barnes, a standout defensive back with a breakout 2024 season at Clemson, is transferring to Georgia — a homecoming of sorts after growing up near Athens. With one year of eligibility left, he brings elite stats, including 139 tackles, 7 interceptions, and a Freshman All-America honor, plus the rare feat of multiple interceptions and forced fumbles in his debut year. Georgia, thinning at the secondary, sees him as the perfect fit to plug gaps with his versatility, football IQ, and run-stopping ability — poised to battle for the STAR role and anchor their defense in 2025.
