KHCPL Presents Off the Books with B&S Episode 9: Young Adult Authors of Indiana

Howard County Reads (HCR) is up and running this year with the top 15 books released and the number one spot revealed as The Year We Left Home by Jean Thompson. In this episode, we cover what HCR is and shed some light on the One State One Story Grant that we received. “One State/One Story invites Hoosiers to engage deeply with a book as part of a statewide conversation tied to Indiana Humanities’ current theme. In 2020, during the second year of INseparable, we’ll read and discuss Jean Thompson’s The Year We Left Home, which offers a sweeping, multigenerational look at life in the Midwest over the past several decades.” In keeping with the theme of life in the Midwest, we were recommended to review and publicize other authors who are local, specifically, to our amazing state, Indiana; we thought this was a fantastic idea!
